Listening to Time

Trick for effective listening: relax and close your eyes.

The ancient Greeks used to think of time as coming up behind them, and proceeding to pass in front of them. So; while they stood in the present moment, the future was as yet still unseen, coming from behind, until it turned into the past, at which point it became apparent to them.

People are constantly changing. Nothing stays still.

I live in a perpetual state of déjà vu.

Interviewer: What do you say when you pray to God?

Mother Teresa: I listen.

Interviewer: What does He say?

Mother Teresa: He listens.
