How Various Individuals Gave Me Help On The Road

I met a lot of good people on my journey. There was a good man named ? that gave me a bible and a prayer in ?, on Highway 280, in Georgia. There was a man who gave me a ride from Weston, Georgia back to Richland, Georgia, when I rode my bike there, and he gave me a pecan pie. There was a boy who gave me $3 on my way out of Savannah. He placed it on the side-walk, and said "goodbye." There was a family who gave me a meal (a hamburger and beans) in Pooler, Georgia. Later, the guy rode me back to my bike. There was a worker man who gave me about $14 in a construction spot in Bloomingdale. I was sleeping there overnight. There was a man named Marcus Houston who gave me $200 and a ride from Autaugaville to Selma, Alabama, to Wal-Mart, to fix my bicycle, and buy me a sleeping bag and a compass. He talked to me for Two hours, and gave me a lot of advice about traveling. Johnny Adams gave me $20 plus a jumpsuit and McDonald's. He also picked me up the next day and rode me all the way to Hurtsboro. He's still my friend. Some black guys gave me a ride from half way to Hurtsboro and to Union Springs. I bought a guitar for $20, made $100 with it at the Mexican restaurant (the owner hired me for $50, and I earned $50 in tips), and sold it to a man in Hurtsboro, for $40. A man named ? gave me a knife, a flash light, and a lot of good advice in Lugo, Alabama. A man in McRae gave me a night in his front yard with my tent, and let me hang out at his trailer with him for a night. He also gave me a lot of Survival Goods. A man outside the gas station gave me $20. The owner gave me bananas and cigarettes. Another guy gave me a concert on his One-string guitar, as well as a free tent he had in the back of his truck. I used the tent until Mississippi. A kid gave me some pizza. When I played my mandolin for them, a couple of guys gave me 2 dollars in Cordele. James gave me a $40 bike repair and paid for a night in a hotel in North Little Rock. His brother and him tried to help me in big ways. Bill Sayger gave me two nights in his house. An opportunity to bathe, and shave, and do my laundry, and eat dinner, and listen to music, and smoke pot, and chat. The church in Brinkley bought me lunch and payed for 3 nights in a hotel. Kenrick gave me love and advice and McDonald's at the laundromat. Some people in Prattville let me sleep by a pond and ignored me. A young lady smilingly sold me ice cream and gave me good advice from Alabama. I listened to a lot of music on the way. A woman who lived in a nice house before Wetumpka gave me advice on the record business after she opened her door to me. Her house was a recording industry studio. A man gave me $10 at a Wetumpka gas station, and the gentlemen at the Adullum House Thrift Store said a prayer for me. The cops in Eupora gave me at least $15 and a ride to Mantee. Sam Mae got hit by a car. The cops ignored me in Auburn, and many other places. Some dudes in Gray's Harbor, Washington gave me a ride, and a joint. A woman in Raymond let me sleep in her trailer park. A man in Macon gave me $10 for my harmonica playing. Larry Miller picked me up on the highway, took me out to dinner with his Mennonite friends. He let me sleep in his dormitory for 2 nights. He and his wife bought me fast food and took me to church with them. We are still good friends. A man in a jewelry shop in Macon, Mississippi gave me $5. A woman at the library gave me good looks, and a lot of good advice about Colorado. A man in Rochelle, Georgia from across the street shouted: Where you goin? To California? I said the West Coast. A man in Pacific City, Oregon told me how to get to the coast. A man named ---- in Seaside gave me a special deal on his hostel, when his coworker told me I couldn't stay there. Some cops in Biscoe rode me 15 miles closer to Little Rock. This was after Bill had called them one morning. The cops in Lumpkin gave me a 15 mile ride to Florence, and entertained my wishes. Some guy in ?, Georgia let me use his phone for as long as I needed it, while I talked to my dad in his back yard. Some old dudes gave me good directions to ? from Leslie, Georgia. A nice dude gave me a 20 when I was drinking a Mountain Dew outside of Wal-Mart. A guy gave me a ride all the way across town, to another hotel, in Americus, and his girlfriend came and brought snacks later. A guy gave me good directions with a smile to the library. A woman pleasantly sold me hamburgers at McDonald's- 3. I just kept coming back. Another girl sold me a Pepsi Cola in Cobb, my favorite area of the journey. She was pretty. Some boys did nice tricks on their bicycles. People ignored me and let me sleep at the State Park in Reidsville. A man caught me shoplifting in Cordele, but told me to give it back to the lady behind the cash register, and let me go. I slept in the woods, The cops ignored me. A  black man sold me a Marijuana tank top outside the grocery store in Perry for $5. I gave him the shirt off of my back, too. There was a young boy in Aliceville who gave me the shirt off of his own back because he thought I needed one. A man named ? in Seminole let me hang out in his car dealership and let me have 60 coupons for corn dogs and cherry limeades at Sonic. He was very nice. A man gave me the way West on a dirt road in Oklahoma. Another man told me about True Grit and other things that had happened in Oklahoma. The horses gave me good eyes in Oklahoma. A man gave me $20 in Oklahoma on the way to Dustin; it was a hopeless morning. A kid sold me pot in Dustin. Daddy mailed me two harmonicas and an iPod in Tupelo. A girl took my pictures in Conway. I wanted to marry her. A black woman fed me dinner in Church. A woman gave me a free breakfast at the gas station in Lyons, Georgia. Another woman gave me a free dinner at The Waffle House in West Memphis, Arkansas. A woman gave me $30 in Kosciusko, Mississippi on the way down the Natchez Trace. The mayor of Kosciusko, Mississippi bought me a night in a local  hotel. The church payed for a second night for me, and I watched pornos I had stolen in Hurtsboro on a DVD player I was borrowing from Walmart. A man there gave me $20 and brought me a meal his wife had cooked, under the bridge. A man in Mantee gave me a leash for my dog, Sam Duke. He ate a dead deer. The people in Seminole let me sleep in their house for 3 months. ? gave me a cat, Jazz Plants. She picked up a lung infection, and I had to take her to the vet. Sheila gave me a ride, and baked me a cake for my birthday. We hung out for 2 days, and I played for her on my guitar. I was going to fuck her, but then my dick felt her vaginal ----- and I said "no." — I had a condom in my bag, but I had forgot about it. — She didn't let me in after that, and called the cops on me. The pastor in Seminole gave me $5- after I asked for it. -Randy- in Seminole let me shower in his apartment, and gave me a hot cup of stew. When I was in Brinkley, 8,000 birds sang me a song, two days in a row, while I laid on my back in a gazebo [I played my harmonica, and there was snow on the ground]. I borrowed 15 books from the book shelter in Brinkley and returned them all after I read them. I read a book called The Basketball Kid or something like that, and when I got done reading it, I set it on fire and burned it, it was bad. When I was in Brinkley, I lived in a hospital that had been abandoned for Two weeks. I pissed on girls from magazines and named my dick, 'Suke.' A kid gave me a very nice bible and a bag of food in Jackson. I was in the cold. The cop gave me a blanket, and chicken fingers and a Sprite in Jackson, Mississippi. Doug Butler gave me a $100 bill and a Bible in Tennessee. A man named ? gave me a 15 mile ride in Tennessee after I had ridden my bike round trip from Moscow, to La Grange, and back. I had left my EBT at the Dollar General. He offered to pay for my hotel room but I said no. The preacher in Counce bought me a night in a hotel called Little Andy's in Tennessee. In Tupelo, Taylor gave me a scarf on Christmas eve. Her family gave me a lot of things in Tupelo. I played my Harmonica on the front porch of Elvis Presley's, searching for a tip to let me in. A German Couple "from Mississippi" gave me a 5. I told Julie to learn how to play the harmonica. She said she would. Julie met me in Iuka, and gave me a $10 bill. A girl was nice and friendly in Salem, and told me "God bless you" after I had followed her down the road by a lot of trash. The man in a pot shop in ? told me 'thanks' for informing him about a certain pot-product called "Cascadia Herbals" in Oregon. The man who ran the Indian restaurant in Salem gave me a free buffet meal. I should have payed for that. The people at the Arc were kind. The women in the library in Salem were kind. A man in Salem said "Welcome to Town" on the very first day that I arrived. A woman "busking" from outside the Safeway grocery store was kind. Don't murder me. Brian gave me free CD's and a lot of love. He's REALLY nice. Almost. Almost. Always. One of the nicest guys. Drew gave me a job. Walter gave me a job. Sydd gave me a job. Bill gave me a job. Kelley gave me 3 jobs. My grandmother used to pay me to cut her grass on Tybee. Ura gave me a CD: Beethoven's Ninth Symphony. Someone stole that in Aberdeen. They stole a lot of my stuff. My mom gave me a lot of books and love and CD's. Aunt Kaka gave me the Tao te Ching and 'The Well-Tempered Clavicle' and Seth Speaks and The Alchemist. I still have to read some of those books. My dad gave me a Fender Stratocaster. A lady gave me a $10 or $20 bill outside the grocery store in Belmont. A man picked me up in his pick up truck and rode me from about Tupelo Mississippi to Belmont. He said they don't smoke marijuana in Belmont.
