If I had to make up a paragraph about myself on a dating website, it might go something like this:
I am just looking for a kind-hearted person. I am looking for someone who considers what is truly valuable in life. I like books and music, I keep on sayin' that. I am looking for someone who doesn't like to hurt others, someone who knows the value of solidity. I am stable, although I don't have a whole lot of money at the time being. I am hoping that one day this might change. I heard that if you want better, you gotta become better, so I am trying to improve on my writing skills and my music skills. It would be cool if I could earn enough money off of those to make a living, but at the time being, I've got another source of income that's dependable and predictable. I don't want a whole lot and I don't ask for a whole lot in a partner, just someone who I can get along with, someone that I can agree with, someone that is compatible with me. I want kids. I have a house of my own. If we hit it off, you're free to move in. I don't have overly high ambitions. I am pretty laid back. I believe in eternal life on earth. I like to play the jaw harp and think. I like drugs. I like to walk and/or ride the bike. I have two cats, but they're pretty laid back, too. I don't really like TV, don't watch much of it. I value silence and peace over noise. Sometimes, however, I put on a beat and a drone and just let it play in the background. I like to spend some time alone. People are not my number one priority. Universal happiness is. I keep up a blog. I play the guitar and the keyboard, among other instruments, and write my own songs. I try to read at least a little bit every day, even if it is just on the computer, and I record my dreams at night. I believe in a humble, simple life. I believe in leaving as negligible a footprint on this planet as we can when we go. If I wasn't a great philanthropist, at least I didn't hurt a whole lot of people while I was alive. I try to be responsible and I always remember the law of Karma: what you do comes back to you, so try to be good, or at least don't step on a whole lot of people's toes while you're here.

WHAT DID YOU THINK OF THIS PIECE OF WRITING?
