I am thinking about buying a turntable.
First I am waiting to see if my package goes off in the mail tomorrow. I mailed off an ocarina. Someone bought it off of eBay. It only sold for like $8. $3 of that went to shipping. I am waiting to see if that goes off, tomorrow. I just left it in my mailbox with the flag up. It was a first class package. eBay provided the shipping label. The only problem was I apparently accidentally described it to eBay as weighing only 1 ounce, whereas I think it actually weighed more than that. Later I estimated it couldn't have weighed more than 5 ounces (I think it weighed less than that), so I put 2 50 cent stamps on it. Each ounce over 1 ounce costs 21 cents. I hope it goes off, we'll see by tomorrow.
If it goes off successfully, I am going to buy a turntable. I already see one on eBay (that's why I was on eBay. If I hadn't a' been there looking for that, I would have never noticed that I'd sold the ocarina, and it might have taken days before I shipped it, too late). It's a $71.50 vintage RCA Lab-1200 Automatic Record Player. I've always wanted a record player. I'm looking forward to it.
I have another record player, already, downstairs. It's broken, though. The nearest record player repair place is like 73 miles away. It would cost more to pay ACTA for the ride and to repair the record player than it would cost to just buy a new one. That's why I think I'm just gonna buy a new one, as soon as I see that my package has gotten off safely.
