I just called my girlfriend Lindsey Knopf, but she didn't pick up. I am at the Ashe County Public Library. Katie McAlpin friended me on Goodreads. I wanted to talk to Lindsey before I accepted the friend request (Lindsey is very jealous of Katie cause I liked her in high school, but I didn't like Lindsey). Lindsey had called me @ ARC (Ashe Really Cares, the local food sharing and charitable Christian place). I picked up and asked her if I could call her back. She said yes and so I just called her back. I am in the lobby of the Ashe County Public Library. I just bought a book about Benjamin Franklin. It is his autobiography. I just ran upstairs to check the computer and see if it was a good read. It got some enthusiastic reviews on goodreads.com. It cost $1. I payed with an Alexander Hamilton. I figured it's all about the Benjamins. All the other people payed about $10 on Amazon, so I think I got a good deal. I rode the shuttle from ARC. I talked to Jerry, telling 'im I was planning on getting a car and riding down to Savannah to be with Lindsey as soon as possible. I wonder if I'm settin' myself up for heartbreak. Benjamin L. Smith likes her, too. Ah well, that's out of the question. I told 'im I'll be finished w/ my class by September the 15th. He said, 'That'll be here before you know it.' I said, 'Yes, sir.' I told him I wrote a few songs on guitar for Lindsey. He said, 'You wrote her a song, huh?' I said, 'A few songs, over the years.' A few: in the neighborhood of 7 or 8: tried and true, bona fide songs. There was a fat woman on the bus. She asked me if I lived alone. I said yes, but I should have said I lived w/ my cat... I said I was moving down to Savannah to see my girlfriend as soon as possible. There were a couple of other women on the bus. It felt like a harum for a little while. I could feel my excitement rising to be surrounded on a bus by 3 women. Jerry and me were the only men on the bus (Jerry is the ACTA bus driver.). They were all makin' constant chatter. I was joinin' in on the conversation. As we were driving up to the library, the older one with the bleached blonde hair asked me if I had a huge collection of books and DVD's. I said more books than DVD's. I said I had Snow White, Bambi, and Pinocchio, and movies like that, but no other DVD's. She said she had some VHS's. I said I had a record player & some records. She said that's a good thing to have, she had a lot of cassettes. Earlier, at ARC I picked up Tuesdays w Morrie, which I've heard is a really good book. It's a lot of people's favorite. Sheila wrote it down. I told 'er I got it there. She asked what it was again, and wrote it down. She asked me where I got it, as if she didn't hear the first time. I said, 'Here!' and she was like, 'Oh!' She said she loved books. We talked about 'em for a few minutes. She liked Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre, but she was bored to tears by reading Madame Bovary. I said I enjoyed Madame Bovary and Wuthering Heights, but I'll have to check out Jane Eyre. She said she liked forensics and crime detection and/or analysis. She asked me if I ever got into that stuff. I said, 'Not really.' I was drunk, a little bit, from this morning. I had been trying to record a YouTube video on my guitar, so I drank a few too many milligrams of alcohol. I was drunk on the ACTA bus. I was drunk at ARC. Pablo could tell on the ACTA bus. He was the one who rode me to town. I think he thought I was crazy. I bought some pomade and some water and some pistachios at CVS. On the way to ARC, walking across West Jefferson, I thought about how Pablo had told me about a town called Preston, Kansas, and had I ever heard of Miami, Kansas? He'd done some good traveling. He is from Mexico or something. I now have to go to my Yes class. It's the 4th class w Yolanda. I just have to nod and smile for an hour. Then I'm going home.

WHAT DID YOU THINK OF THIS PIECE OF WRITING?
