Only so many friends in so much time.

We can only have SO MANY valuable relationships. I read in high school that we only hold onto about 4 or 5 of our closest friends from high school as we enter our adulthood (30's, 40's and beyond). That's fine by me. *I* can only have so many valuable relationships. Sometimes the fewer, the better. Sometimes I'm glad I only get so many likes on facebook. Less comments to reply to. Sometimes I'm glad I only have a small following. It's something I can handle. I said sometimes. If I'm being honest, I wish I had a following like Madonna or Kurt Cobain, but I don't, so I've learned to live with what I have. Maybe I can increase my following... I believe in multiple lifetimes, so maybe if I up my game, I can have a bigger following in my next life. 

I know a lot of you think that's bullshit, to put any stock in a 'next life,' when that's not 'guaranteed,' but to me it's not bullshit. I have thought it out. It makes sense to me. I don't see how anyone could be born really good at something unless they developed those skills in a previous lifetime.
