What you get out of a book may be insignificant and inconsequential. 

For example: out of the book, Delivarance, I got: a square knot is the only knot that most people know how to tie. Just an insignicficant, inconsequential line out of the book, but the one I got the most out of. 

The other lines I got out of the book were: Asians are 'gooks,' Cows are 'useless,' and most people and places are 'worth nothing.' 

Very depressing lines, I agree.
