1 Lifespan

When I think about the span of one human life, it really doesn't seem to me like that long. 100 years, if you're lucky. 100 years is shorter than you think. What if your life was a book, and each year was a page, well, then it would be only 100 pages. A page takes some thought; it requires some thinking to interpret it; it has a few sentences, grouped into a few paragraphs... that's one year: it has a few significant events, grouped into a few seasons, and that's it: a life. But it is really not all that long, and neither is the book. It's like Jon Kabat Zinn said: the little things, they're not little.
