12 hours are labeled on the face of a clock.
I think this should be pretty obvious, if you play music, but I am just here doing my public service, sharing this obvious correlation to anyone who didn't realize it before. Kind of opens up your mind to music, doesn't it? And simplifies it. Combine with my other insight from October the 11 about the 7 basic scale tones and the 7 basic colors of the visual spectrum:
