It’s Hard, But It’s What You Gotta Do
It’s at least some consolation when something is hard that you know it’s what you have to do.

Patience always pays.

If you’re doin’ a deep, serious, profound, significant, long, challenging, important piece of writing, give it at least two rest periods, three drafts.

MUSICAL IDEAS:
There’s no substitute for practice
You’ve got to kind of look at scale intervals. What constitutes a unit? Anything from 1 to 3 frets, in my view. Depending on what part of the scale it represents (say, the lowest minor third, or, say, from the mi of the scale to the so, or perhaps from the so to the flattened ti, or some other interval in the scale) and where it is in the song.

The ridiculousness of communication…

The crushing loneliness. The low that comes about after a period of intense socialization.
