DREAMS LAST NIGHT

WELCOME

I was hangin' out with David Foster Wallace, reading his book 'Naked Heart'- not 'Naked-ly, Heart-fully.' In a section in it he was talkin' about a hike he was makin' with some friends. One of the kid's sons was chewin' on a bandana, muttering to himself, standing on one leg more than the other leg. DFW was worried he was gonna ruin his teeth. I thought it was a good poetic image. And he was black: David Foster Wallace was black. And he was pointing out something to me about his book. We were hangin' out upstairs in my bedroom. Some people were there, too.

Momma showed me the New Sapelo and the Old Sapelo. The Old Sapelo was precisely 100 days older. He had '204' branded on his wrists, whereas the New Sapelo had '104' branded on his wrists. She said to go out and look for Kitty Cat, who was Albus, and see if you could find him, 'cause we hadn't seen him in a day or two- what happened to him?
