All the fish felt Omikron's death the moment it happened. They held a council. 'Who here says we should break away from Omikron's rule, and do whatever the hell we want to?' asked Spector, the leader, and all said, 'Yay!' So, they all, for better or worse, went towards Herby's hook, and Herby caught ten fish in half an hour.
